Vibe Coding a Production-Ready Full-Stack App | Indie Hacker Workflow

December 24, 2025

youtube

In this video, I show what vibe coding actually looks like in practice. I build a complete full-stack quiz platform using vibe coding and take it all the way to production. Backend is built with Django, frontend with React and Tailwind CSS, and authentication is handled using Google OAuth. This is not a tutorial. It’s a real build. You’ll see the exact methodology I followed: • how I planned the product • how I wrote prompts • how debugging actually happened • how backend, authentication, and frontend came together • how I hosted everything and shipped it live The project is live in production and fully open source. This video is also the final part of the Version 1 series. On the product side, the platform includes 23 levels designed for indie hackers. It covers: • core coding concepts and how systems work at a high level • product launch strategy and practical marketing basics • category-wise learning so users can progress level by level The idea came from a real problem: there are many learning resources, but very few quiz-based platforms focused specifically on indie hacking. The goal is simple — learn by attempting, exploring, and building. This will be useful for: • indie hackers • MVP builders • small to mid-stage SaaS projects • developers who want to learn by shipping real products Everything you see here is built using vibe coding, and anyone can do this. open-source repository are shared below. https://github.com/madmecodes/version1quiz --------------- Stay connected: Twitter: https://x.com/madmecodes LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ayush-gupta-dev/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/madmecodes/ GitHub: https://github.com/madmecodes --- 00:00 Start 01:31 What to Build 01:42 Project Initialization in Terminal 02:33 Prompt 03:00 Claude Code – Plan Mode 03:28 Clarifications to AI 03:39 The Plan 03:58 Start Frontend 04:40 Debug Frontend 05:06 Change Theme 05:33 Git Version Tracking 05:56 Start Backend 06:26 Backend Clarifications 07:03 Build Locally & Debugging 07:42 Create Superuser (Backend Admin) 08:17 Integrate Frontend with Backend 08:35 Google Auth 09:44 Populate Dummy Data via Script 10:05 Change Theme (Iteration) 10:38 Demo 11:08 Git Init in Main Repo 11:49 Deploy Backend on Railway 14:24 Deploy Frontend on Vercel 14:59 Open Source 15:43 Final Note
